Job summary

Ingenia Communities is seeking a Casual Grounds & Maintenance Officer for our Hervey Bay Holidays site. You will maintain garden areas, ensure a clean and safe environment, and perform general repairs to keep the site welcoming for guests.

You will respond to maintenance requests, log activities, and support site presentation. A current C-class driving licence and practical knowledge of site systems are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance and outdoor upkeep.
• Ability to perform hands-on maintenance tasks and basic repairs.
• Familiar with safety procedures and chemical handling.
• C class driving licence or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all garden areas including pruning, weeding, mulching and mowing.
• Keep grounds clean and safe by debris removal and pest/weed control.
• Carry out general repairs and maintenance including lighting, fencing and painting.
• Respond to resident/guest maintenance requests and escalate to trades when needed.
• Log maintenance activities and support site presentation and security.

We’re on the lookout for a Casual Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our team at our Hervey Bay Holidays site.

Reporting to the Park Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping the park looking beautiful, safe, and welcoming — ensuring guests enjoy a clean, well‑maintained environment every day.

Hervey Bay Holidays offers a relaxed coastal getaway, with great facilities, beautiful beaches, and easy access to K'gari (Fraser Island) and other local attractions.

In this Role, You’ll

• Maintain all garden areas through pruning, weeding, fertilising, replanting, mulching, hedging, mowing and edging.
• Keep grounds clean and safe by clearing debris, collecting bins, spraying for weeds/pests, and maintaining pool areas (if applicable).
• Carry out general repairs and maintenance, including tools, equipment, lighting, fixtures, fencing, BBQs and basic painting.
• Respond to resident/guest maintenance requests, provide feedback on contractor work, and elevate issues to trades when needed.
• Support site presentation and security by reporting damage or incidents and accurately logging all maintenance and repair activities.
