Job summary

Ingenia Communities Group is seeking a part-time Grounds & Maintenance Officer for our Ballarat Lifestyle site. You will keep outdoor spaces well‑maintained, safe, and welcoming for residents and guests, while coordinating with the team to deliver high standards.

You’ll perform mowing, pruning, repairs, and supplier coordination, contributing to a vibrant community atmosphere. This role requires practical grounds experience and a team‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Hold a current “C” Class manual driver’s licence.
• Hands-on experience in building and grounds maintenance, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Able to respond calmly in emergencies.
• Proactive, positive and committed to delivering high levels of service with a team‑first attitude.
• Comfortable with manual tasks like lifting, bending, and operating tools and equipment across varied terrain.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outdoor spaces through mowing, pruning, planting, and pest control, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents and guests.
• Carry out general repairs and upkeep across the site, including accommodation, pool areas, and equipment, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate contractor work and manage grounds maintenance budgets to deliver high standards within financial guidelines.
• Conduct regular WHS checks, follow safety protocols, and ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities and incidents.
• Collaborate with team members, respond to resident queries, and contribute to a positive, respectful workplace culture.

Reporting to the Community Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping the park looking beautiful, safe, and welcoming — ensuring guests enjoy a clean, well‑maintained environment every day.

You’re Likely a Match If You
