Discovery Parks Maidens Inn is seeking a hands-on Grounds Keeper to maintain a clean, well-presented park and facilities. You will perform daily tasks, gardens, and grounds upkeep while ensuring safety and compliance. The role involves operating groundskeeping equipment and responding to guest requests with professionalism.

Experience in park maintenance and a valid driver's licence are essential. Pool maintenance is advantageous, and the position supports a 7-day roster across a busy holiday

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in grounds keeping and park maintenance.
• Ability to operate groundskeeping equipment and power tools safely.
• Strong time management and ability to work flexible 7-day rosters.
• Driver's license is essential and advantageous for site access.
• Awareness of safety protocols and guest safety.
• Pool maintenance experience is a plus for this role.

Aufgaben

• Perform daily tasks to keep the park clean, tidy and well presented.
• Maintain cleanliness of park facilities, amenities, camp kitchen and play areas.
• Carry out grounds upkeep including landscaping, mowing and litter removal.
• Perform repairs and routine maintenance on park accommodation and facilities.
• Manage and maintain park equipment and tools.
• Adhere to safety guidelines to ensure a safe guest and staff environment.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Perform daily tasks to ensure park remains clean, tidy and well presented.


• Maintain condition and cleanliness of park facilities, including amenities, camp kitchen and play areas.


• Perform general grounds upkeep, including landscaping, mowing, and litter removal.


• Carry out repairs and routine maintenance tasks on park accommodation and facilities.


• Manage and maintain park equipment and tools.


• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.


• Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally.

What we look for

• Previous experience in grounds keeping


• Skilled in building and grounds maintenance tasks


• Attention to detail to ensure the safety, and aesthetic appeal of the property


• Ability to safely operate groundskeeping equipment and power tools


• Excellent time management skills and flexibility to work over a 7 day roster


• Trade qualified is desirable


• Pool maintenance experience would be advantageous


• A current valid driver’s licence is essential.

Prior to an offer of employment being made, candidates must provide a Federal Police Clearance.

This role may involve extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery.
