Job summary

NRMA Parks & Resorts, Strahan Village, is looking for a hands-on Handyperson to join a small, dedicated team in a full-time role. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll tackle repairs across rooms and facilities and contribute to projects, renovations, and routine maintenance.

You’ll bring practical maintenance experience, a strong customer service mindset, and the ability to work independently while staying calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance and general repairs across rooms, amenities, and facilities.
• Ability to follow direction and daily tasks with a proactive approach.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage guests.

Responsibilities

• Tackle incidental maintenance repairs across rooms, amenities, and facilities.
• Get hands-on with building projects, major repairs, renovations, and mechanical tasks – from painting and basic plumbing to hardware replacements.
• Keep grounds and gardens looking their best.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll use your expertise to keep things running smoothly and add value where it matters most. You'll have flexibility to work on weekends as required.

What you’ll do:

• Tackle incidental maintenance repairs across rooms, amenities, and facilities.
• Get hands‑on with building projects, major repairs, renovations, and mechanical tasks – from painting and basic plumbing to hardware replacements.
• Keep our grounds and gardens looking their best.

What you’ll bring:

• A reputation for top‑note customer service and the ability to spark great conversations with guests.
• Strong time management skills and a sharp eye for detail.
• Medium rigid truck licence and forklift licence (highly desirable).
• An ability to follow direction related to daily tasks and expectations
• Proven experience in property maintenance and confidence with power tools.
• The ability to stay calm under pressure and work independently.
• Solid knowledge of safe working procedures.
• A “hands‑on” attitude, energy, enthusiasm, and a reasonable level of fitness.
