Job summary

Amata Anangu School is a small, remote school located on Anangu Country in the north-west corner of South Australia. The Maintenance (Facilities & Grounds) employee keeps the school, grounds, facilities and equipment safe, functional and well maintained.

Working closely with the Principal, staff, contractors and community, the role provides practical support across grounds maintenance, gardening, irrigation, repairs, equipment, vehicles, waste management, site security and staff accommodation.

Qualifications

• Maintenance (Facilities & Grounds) role across school grounds, facilities and equipment.
• Hands-on, practical problem solving and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work with Principal, staff, contractors and community to maintain safety and function.

Responsibilities

• Keep school grounds and facilities safe and well maintained.
• Assist with gardens, irrigation, repairs, equipment, vehicles and waste management.
• Ensure staff accommodation and site security are well managed.
• Identify issues and propose practical improvements with staff and contractors.
