Job summary

Shoalhaven City Council in Berry, NSW, is seeking a hands-on maintenance professional to keep parks, sportsgrounds and precincts in top condition. You will operate plant and light trucks, perform building and facility upkeep, and support sanitation, WHS-compliant maintenance, and contractor coordination.

The role offers a 38-hour week with a 9-day fortnight, located at Berry Showground. Applicants should hold relevant certificates, safety cards, and licences, and be eligible to work in

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Horticulture, Arboriculture, Turf Management, Nursery Practice, Commercial Cleaning or equivalent.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required.
• Proof of right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Undertake parks, sportsground and precinct maintenance activities, including landscaping, mowing, irrigation, tree pruning and general grounds upkeep.
• Operate a range of plant, trucks and equipment to support construction and maintenance works.
• Carry out building, property and facility maintenance, including commercial and industrial cleaning.
• Assist with hygiene, sanitation and security activities across Council facilities.
• Liaise with contractors and support the coordination of maintenance works in accordance with WHS requirements.
• Contribute to a positive team environment while delivering quality services to the community.

Education

Certificate III in Horticulture, Arboriculture, Turf Management, Nursery Practice, Commercial Cleaning or equivalent
