Job summary

Qantas Ground Services is seeking a Performance Manager to lead a large frontline team at Sydney Airport. The role focuses on achieving operational and people-centric outcomes, improving safety, engagement, and performance in a highly regulated environment. This is a full-time FTC for 18 months.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, manage escalations, and drive capability development while maintaining regulatory compliance and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience leading large frontline or operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of employee performance management and case management.
• Experience managing disciplinary processes, fitness-for-work, and welfare initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of Ground Staff to achieve QGS objectives.
• Oversee day-of-operations escalations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive performance, engagement, coaching and development across the team.
• Manage attendance, fitness-for-work, disciplinary matters and wellbeing initiatives.
