Job summary

Titan Recruitment is sourcing a high‑calibre Senior Power Systems Engineer to own the grid connection strategy for a large-scale power generation and storage project in WA. You will lead approvals with Western Power, coordinate consultants and ensure robust power system integration across renewables, BESS, and thermal assets.

You will drive studies, modelling and compliance, while managing stakeholder relationships with utilities, regulators and EPCs to deliver reliable, scalable power

Qualifications

• Australian citizenship is required.
• Electrical or Power Engineering degree (postgraduate studies valued).
• 10+ years of extensive power systems engineering experience.
• Proven track record leading grid connection strategies, approvals and compliance for utility-scale generation.
• Strong background across renewables, BESS, thermal generation and integrated power delivery.
• Deep understanding of power system studies and grid integration challenges.
• Ability to lead consultants, utilities, regulators and EPC contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end grid connection strategy, approvals and compliance process with Western Power.
• Act as the technical authority for power systems integration across renewables, BESS, thermal generation and grid infrastructure.
• Manage specialist consultants undertaking power system studies, modelling and connection assessments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with utilities, regulators, contractors, consultants and key project stakeholders.
• Review and coordinate electrical designs, technical studies and engineering deliverables to ensure compliance and performance objectives.
• Identify, manage and mitigate grid connection, technical and project delivery risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical oversight during procurement, construction, commissioning and energisation activities.
• Support project planning, reporting and decision-making by providing expert advice on power systems, market requirements and connection strategy.
• Ensure power infrastructure solutions meet reliability, availability and operational requirements for a hyperscale data centre customer.
• Contribute to innovative engineering solutions that optimise project outcomes, programme and commercial performance.
