Job summary

CATL is seeking a technically astute engineering professional to support BESS Broadway. Lead grid connection activities, engage AEMO, TNSP/DNSP, and consultants, and provide technical support through the project lifecycle.

The role requires coordinating with development, procurement, project delivery, engineering, controls, and construction teams to deliver optimized connection solutions and techno-economic analyses.

Qualifications

• Lead all aspects of power system network connection including connection application and negotiations
• Support early-development design and network connection strategy
• Engage in grid aspects of EPC, eBoP, and O&M tenders and contract negotiations
• Coordinate with TNSP/DNSP, AEMO, technical consultants from enquiry to 5.3.9
• Ensure compliance, R1/R2 testing, and post-commissioning performance reviews
• 8+ years in grid-scale renewable projects in Australia with NER 5 knowledge

Responsibilities

• Lead the connection process with TNSP/DNSP, AEMO and consultants from enquiry to approval
• Drive preliminary design and network connection strategy for projects
• Engage bids and tenders for EPC, eBoP and O&M including equipment selection
• Manage R1, Registration, Hold Point testing and R2 compliance
• Support technical/economic analyses for tenders and business development
• Review third-party engineering deliverables for quality and compliance
