Job summary

Blacktown City Council is seeking a proactive Greenspace Service Operations Officer to coordinate maintenance across parks, sportsgrounds, playgrounds and open spaces. You will liaise with teams to prioritise works and ensure community expectations align with service delivery.

The role focuses on monitoring performance, identifying service gaps, and preparing reports for residents, groups and internal stakeholders, while supporting strategy development and digital system improvements.

Are you passionate about improving services for the community? As the Greenspace Service Operations Officer, you will help connect community expectations with the delivery of maintenance services across Blacktown City's parks, sportsgrounds, playgrounds and open spaces.

Working across Greenspace Services, you will liaise with operational teams to prioritise maintenance works and help ensure community expectations and service outcomes align.

Through monitoring service performance and customer trends, you will identify service gaps, prepare reports and correspondence, and provide advice to residents, community groups, Councillors and internal stakeholders. You will also support the development of strategies, service charters, maintain follow‑up systems and contribute to service planning through operational insights.

You will improve how services are delivered by identifying process bottlenecks, supporting workflow automation and enhancing digital systems that improve communication, accountability and transparency. You work closely with operational leaders and business units to ensure customer feedback informs priorities, planning and continuous improvement.
