Job summary

Qualifications

• A Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent practical experience, supported by at least two years' experience in grant applications, funding coordination or a closely related field.
• Further qualifications in business, finance or project management will be highly regarded.
• Demonstrated understanding of government and external funding programs, with ability to research opportunities and prepare submissions.
• Strong organisational and project coordination capabilities, with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills; able to engage with senior management and stakeholders.
• High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and solid reporting skills; public sector experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Council's grants program by identifying suitable funding opportunities and securing financial support for projects.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate project priorities and align applications with Corporate Plan and funding objectives.
• Manage the full grant lifecycle from applications to reporting and acquittal.
• Build relationships with funding bodies and community organisations to improve grant outcomes and capability.
• Monitor funding agreements, milestones and compliance; coordinate variations as needed and deliver within timeframes.
• Contribute to process improvements in grant administration and reporting for senior management.
