Job summary

Australian Catholic University is seeking a Graduations Officer to coordinate student and staff registrations for graduation ceremonies across Australia. You will play a key role within the Graduations and Protocol team to enhance the University's public image through well-run ceremonies.

The role is full-time, fixed term from January to June 2027, with hybrid flexibility and interstate travel. Interviews are scheduled for November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating large-scale events or ceremonies.
• Knowledge of registrations and conferral processes is preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder liaison skills.

About the role:

Operating within Graduations and Protocol, the Graduations Officer is responsible for the student and staff registration components and other conferral and ceremonial functions for all ACU Graduation ceremonies within Australia. The annual graduation ceremonies are one of the University's foremost public events therefore the position plays an important role in enhancing the University's image. Graduation ceremonies are typically conducted each year at ACU locations across Australia, and attended by some 6,000 graduands and 14,000 guests.

• Total remuneration valued to $116,410 - $125,049 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $98,367 - $105,667 (pro rata) pa (HEW 6), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
• 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
• Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
