You’ll participate in a structured training program with mentoring to develop your commercial acumen and technical skills.

Core duties include preparing financial accounts and tax returns, management accounts and BAS, and delivering timely business advisory services to clients; you will also enjoy a positive team culture, study support, and development opportunities.

As a Graduate Accountant at Hood Sweeney, you’ll be part of a dynamic and inclusive culture that supports your personal and professional development. You’ll take part in an induction that exposes you to the Accounting team’s systems and procedures and a structured training program focused on mentoring and developing your commercial acumen and technical skills.

The core responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of financial accounts and income tax returns;
• Preparation of periodic management accounts and BAS;
• Provision of accurate and timely financial, taxation and business advisory services to clients.

To succeed in this role, you will have completed your degree in Commerce or Accounting and be looking for full-time work. We encourage applications from final-year undergraduate students who are looking to transition into a full-time Graduate Accountant role upon completion of their studies. Additionally, you will possess impeccable written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
