Job summary

Amey Australia invites applications for a Graduate Surveyor in our Dubbo team. You’ll work with the Survey Manager and senior staff on cadastral, engineering and control surveys, with both fieldwork and office drafting.

You’ll bring a bachelor’s degree in surveying, practical field experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Topcon Magnet, and a proactive, team‑oriented approach. Training and development toward registration are offered in a collaborative, community‑minded culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in surveying or equivalent.
• Practical experience across surveying fieldwork and drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Topcon Magnet and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of surveying and planning legislation.
• Strong time management, attention to detail and problem solving.
• Confident communication and ability to work in a team.
• A current valid Australian driver’s licence.
• Interest in continuing professional development and registration.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with and progressively leading cadastral, engineering and control surveys.
• Undertaking survey fieldwork, calculations and survey searching.
• Preparing and drafting survey plans and reports using CAD software (AutoCAD and Topcon Magnet).
• Supporting checking, finalisation and filing of plans and documentation.
• Liaising with internal team members, clients and external stakeholders.
• Managing survey equipment and vehicles.
• Contributing to projects in line with timeframes, budgets and quality standards.
