Job summary

Early Start Australia Pty offers a 12-month graduate program at our Fannie Bay clinic. You’ll transition from student to independent clinician with structured induction, clinical skills training, buddy support, and weekly supervision.

You’ll deliver early intervention speech pathology to children and families, complete formal and informal assessments, develop evidence-based therapy plans, collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, and maintain documentation and NDIS records.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Speech Pathology
• Membership / registration with SPA
• Current Driver’s License and vehicle
• Current Working with Children Check or Working with Vulnerable People Registration
• NDIS workers screening check & Police Check
• Accredited first aid & CPR certificate
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Exceptional observational and report writing skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver early intervention speech pathology services to children and families, supporting communication, participation, and independence.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments (formal and informal) to identify speech, language, and developmental needs.
• Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based therapy plans aligned with family goals and child needs.
• Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams using a key worker/transdisciplinary approach.
• Monitor, review, and adapt therapy programs based on client progress and feedback.
• Provide education, resources, and ongoing support to empower families in decision-making and home-based practice.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and NDIS-related records within required timeframes.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders (e.g., schools, health professionals, support coordinators) to support client outcomes.

About The Graduate Program

Our 12-month graduate program is designed to help you progress from student to thriving therapist. You can expect:
