Job summary

Early Start Australia is seeking a Graduate Speech Pathologist to join our Fannie Bay Clinic in Darwin. You will deliver early intervention services to children and families, perform assessments, and create individualized therapy plans within a supportive team.

With dedicated supervision, a structured induction, and ongoing professional development, you will grow into independent practice while contributing to positive child outcomes in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Needs a relevant Speech Pathology qualification and SPA registration where applicable.
• Proven communication and organizational abilities essential for family-centered care.
• Requires current Driver's License and vehicle, WWC checks as per state requirements.
• NDIS worker screening & Police check are required.
• Accredited First Aid & CPR certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Deliver early intervention speech pathology services to children and families.
• Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify needs.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based therapy plans.
• Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor progress and adapt therapy programs as needed.
• Provide education and home-based resources for families.

About The Graduate Program

What You’ll Do At Our Fannie Bay Clinic

• Deliver early intervention speech pathology services to children and families, supporting communication, participation, and independence.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments (formal and informal) to identify speech, language, and developmental needs.
• Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based therapy plans aligned with family goals and child needs.
• Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams using a key worker/transdisciplinary approach.
• Monitor, review, and adapt therapy programs based on client progress and feedback.
• Provide education, resources, and ongoing support to empower families in decision-making and home-based practice.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and NDIS-related records within required timeframes.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders (e.g., schools, health professionals, support coordinators) to support client outcomes.
