Job summary

Early Start Australia Geelong offers a Graduate Speech Pathology program designed to support new clinicians. You will work within a close-knit allied health team, receiving clinical supervision, mentoring and structured training to build confidence and independence while delivering services to children and families.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with assessments, evidence-based therapy plans, and collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams, with dedicated admin and development

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech Pathologist with SPA registration or eligibility.
• Strong communication with children and families, and with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver early intervention speech pathology services to children and families.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments (formal and informal) to identify needs.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based therapy plans.
• Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams using a transdisciplinary approach.
• Monitor and adapt therapy programs based on progress and feedback.
• Provide education and resources to empower families for home practice.
• Maintain accurate documentation and NDIB-related records.
• Build relationships with schools and health professionals to support outcomes.

About The Graduate Program

What You'll Do At Our Geelong Clinic

• Deliver early intervention speech pathology services to children and families, supporting communication, participation, and independence.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments (formal and informal) to identify speech, language, and developmental needs.
• Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based therapy plans aligned with family goals and child needs.
• Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams using a key worker/transdisciplinary approach.
• Monitor, review, and adapt therapy programs based on client progress and feedback.
• Provide education, resources, and ongoing support to empower families in decision-making and home-based practice.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and NDIS-related records within required timeframes.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders (e.g., schools, health professionals, support coordinators) to support client outcomes.
