Job summary

Dematic invites graduates to join its Global Product and Solutions team in Melbourne’s Tarneit site as Software Project Engineers. You will support commissioning and testing of innovative software solutions, ensuring seamless integration with Materials Handling Equipment across on-site projects.

Ideal candidates have a degree in computer science, experience with real‑time systems, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Honour Graduates with strong academic results are advantageous.
• Background in Software Engineering and/or Automation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Execute integrated commissioning tests between software and MHE on and off-site.
• Write commissioning test scripts based on project specifications.
• Debug and QA/test software; fix defects and verify results.
• Capture and communicate testing progress and results to the team.
• Record test evidence and maintain progress tracking; triage issues impacting progress.
• Coordinate with project managers, systems integration, and customers.
• Train end users on Dematic application workflows and provide startup support.
