Societe Generale in Sydney, Australia, invites applications for a Graduate Trainee – Risk Management to join our team on a full-time fixed-term basis for 12 months.

The role involves building a deep understanding of the Front Office businesses, credit review processes, portfolio monitoring and cross‑functional collaboration with regional RISQ teams to support risk management activities and regulatory inquiries.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant discipline (Commerce, Finance, Risk Management, Engineering or Mathematics).
• Interest in and basic understanding of global debt and market activities.
• Entrepreneurial, curious, pro-active, rigorous, team player and self-motivated.
• Ability to build strong working relationships (including remotely) with people from diverse, international backgrounds.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Build understanding of SG Sydney Branch Front Office businesses and their products/services.
• Understand the credit process including review of credit applications and sensitivity analyses.
• Support portfolio management and information gathering from various sources.
• Prepare research materials and present findings to CRO.
• Assist in producing the Risk Management Committee pack for quarterly purposes.
