Job summary

Societe Generale in Sydney seeks an Analyst for Fixed Income & Currencies Sales to support the Australian sales team across client coverage, business development and trade execution. The role involves preparing market commentary, client materials and trade ideas while coordinating onboarding with Compliance and COO teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, mathematics, engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in financial markets, macroeconomics and institutional sales.
• Previous internship or experience in financial services, investment banking, markets, asset management or treasury functions would be advantageous.
• Understanding of Fixed Income and Currencies products including Rates, FX, Bonds and Derivatives is preferred.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Bloomberg, VBA, Python or data analytics tools would be advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting senior salespeople in coverage of Australian and international institutional clients.
• Preparing market commentary, client presentations, trade ideas and product marketing materials.
• Monitoring market developments across rates, FX, credit and macro themes and sharing insights.
• Developing client-focused trade ideas and relative value opportunities with Trading and Research teams.
• Coordinating onboarding and KYC processes with Compliance and COO teams.
• Supporting pre-trade, trade execution and post-trade workflows with operational teams.
• Maintaining CRM databases, client activity records and relationship maps.
• Producing regular management reports, sales activity reports and market updates.
