Job summary

SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA invites applications for a Graduate Trainee in Risk Management in Sydney, Australia. The 12-month fixed-term program offers hands-on experience under the Chief Risk Officer, with exposure to credit processes, portfolio monitoring and risk reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

You will work closely with regional RISQ teams, develop deep knowledge of market activities, and contribute to ad hoc risk analyses and regulatory communications.

Qualifications

• University degree in Commerce, Finance, Risk Management, Engineering or Mathematics.
• Interest in and basic understanding of global debt and market activities.
• Entrepreneurial, curious, pro-active, rigorous, team player and self-motivated.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with diverse, international colleagues.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Build understanding of SG Sydney Branch Front Office businesses and how they fit in the Australian market.
• Review credit applications including financial modelling and sensitivity analyses.
• Support portfolio management and information gathering from diverse sources.
• Prepare research materials for CRO and present to committees.
• Assist in producing Risk Management Committee pack for quarterly purposes.
• Monitor breaches or oversteps of key risk metrics and report findings.
