Job summary

Macquarie University Health is hiring a full-time Radiographer to join a medical imaging team at Macquarie University Hospital. You will perform diagnostic X-ray and theatre imaging, while maintaining ALARA standards and patient privacy.

You will work with radiologists, nurses, and colleagues in teaching and research, with access to modern technology and structured learning from day one.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as Medical Radiation Practitioner or eligibility to register.
• Recognised qualification in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography).
• Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images and apply radiation safety principles (ALARA).
• Clear, confident communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray and theatre imaging with high-quality results.
• Support and inform patients throughout imaging procedures; address questions or concerns.
• Escalate findings promptly to radiologist or senior medical staff.
• Comply with radiation protection standards and patient privacy obligations.
• Contribute to quality improvement and ongoing professional development.
