Macquarie University Health is seeking a full-time graduate radiographer with an immediate start at Macquarie University Hospital. You will join a medical imaging team, with access to teaching and research and opportunities to train in CT, MRI, angiography and Mammography as your skills develop.

Reporting to the Lead Radiographer, you will perform diagnostic imaging, support patients, and collaborate with radiologists, nursing and imaging staff while maintaining ALARA standards and patient

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Radiation Practitioner, or eligibility to register
• A recognised qualification in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography), completed or nearing completion
• Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images while applying ALARA radiation safety principles
• Strong communication with patients and stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team in a changing clinical environment
• Willingness to participate in quality control and upskilling across additional modalities
• Australian citizenship, permanent residents or holders with full working rights

Responsabilités

• Performing diagnostic X-ray and theatre imaging examinations, producing high-quality images in line with clinical protocols
• Informing and supporting patients throughout imaging procedures
• Promptly escalating findings requiring immediate clinical attention to the radiologist or senior medical staff
• Complying with radiation protection standards (ALARA), EPA licensing requirements and patient privacy and confidentiality obligations
• Contributing to continuous quality improvement activities and the development of current and new clinical protocols
• Participating in professional development, annual performance review and the informal supervision and support of imaging students
