Job summary

Macquarie University Health invites applications for a full-time graduate radiographer at North Ryde. You will perform diagnostic imaging, collaborate with radiologists, nurses and students, and contribute to safety and quality in an academic health precinct.

You will gain exposure to modalities including angiography, CT, MRI and Mammography as your skills develop, under supervision from the Lead Radiographer, with mentorship and structured learning from day one.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Radiation Practitioner.
• Recognised qualification in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography), completed or nearing completion.
• Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images and apply radiation safety principles, including ALARA.
• Clear and confident communication skills with high standard of patient and stakeholder service.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team in a changing clinical environment.
• A proactive, self-motivated learner willing to participate in quality control and upskilling across modalities.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray and theatre imaging examinations with high-quality image output.
• Inform and support patients during imaging procedures and address questions.
• Escalate findings requiring urgent clinical attention to radiologist or senior staff.
• Comply with radiation protection standards (ALARA) and patient privacy obligations.
• Contribute to quality improvement and development of clinical protocols.
• Participate in professional development, annual reviews and supervision of imaging students.
