Job summary

PM&C invites recent graduates from humanities, arts or social sciences to join a twelve-month Graduate Program in Canberra. You will work across a broad range of policy areas, receiving mentorship and exposure to public service at its core.

The program starts February 2028 with a starting APS3 salary of AUD 79,707 plus 15.4% superannuation and potential advancement after six months to APS4. A relocation package, flexible work arrangements and progression to a permanent placement are offered.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate in Humanities, Arts or Social Sciences.
• Must be curious, motivated and driven to make a difference.
• Able to work independently and in a team, problem-solve, and contribute creative thinking.

Responsibilities

• Provide frank and impartial advice on Commonwealth policy proposals and major funding agreements.
• Support implementation of federal relations architecture and liaise with state/territory departments.
• Contribute to policy analysis and cross-cutting priorities across domestic, social, and environment agendas.
