Job summary

GHD in Brisbane is seeking a Graduate Planner to join our Environment and Impact Assessment team. You will work on planning projects across infrastructure, transport, energy, water and urban development while learning from experienced professionals.

Our two-year Graduate Development Program is designed to give you a smooth start to your consulting career, with mentorship, cross-disciplinary collaboration and hands-on client exposure, starting February 2027 or earlier where possible.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a degree in planning or a related discipline.
• Willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Interest in planning legislation, policy, and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of planning projects across infrastructure, transport, energy, water, resources and urban development.
• Assist with planning assessments, approvals strategies, development applications and supporting documentation.
• Conduct research and analysis of planning schemes, legislation, policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, government agencies and project teams throughout the planning process.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, planning submissions, consent applications and consultation materials.
• Develop understanding of planning legislation, industry best practices and emerging development trends.
