Job summary

Recovery Station is seeking graduates in Physiotherapy to service adult clients in clinics and through community visits, including home settings. You will join a supportive team with a 12-month structured program and supervision to develop core clinical skills.

The role offers flexible scheduling to balance study and social life, with opportunities to work across our Toronto clinic and in clients’ communities.

Qualifications

• Approved qualification in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration.
• Current driver’s license with own vehicle.
• Current First Aid and CPR.

• Conduct various assessments, active rehab, strength and conditioning and ongoing case management.

The Role

As a community- based team, we predominantly see our clients in their homes, group homes, aged care facilities or in a public setting that's relevant for them eg a gym, park or local pool.

Our Physio's benefit from also having a clinic in Toronto where we can hold individual sessions or group classes. We want to see our clients where they are most comfortable and that's relevant to their goals, therefore you will have a mix of clinic appointments plus seeing clients out in the community.

A role like this is great as it allows you to have genuine flexibility and control over how you structure your days so you don't miss your afternoon sport or having the social life you've sacrificed whilst studying!

We have the caapacity for someone to join our team now, and we are also accepting applications for our 1 Feb 2027 Graduate intake.

You will gain lots of variety as you service a predominantly adult, NDIS & DVA caseload (12 yrs old and up) living with:

• Developmental disabilities (autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, down syndrome)
• Neurological conditions (stroke, acquired brain injury, brain tumour, multiple sclerosis)
• Degenerative diseases (Parkinson’s disease, MS, motor neurone disease, Huntington’s disease, dementia)

In your Grad Program you will be supported to:

• Conduct various assessments, active rehab, strength and conditioning and ongoing case management
• Deliverindividual and group sessions in our Toronto clinic and externally
• Advise on exercise, therapy and equipment prescription
• Provide rehabilitation and falls prevention initiatives
• Delivereducation programsfor individuals, carers, support workers, family members
• Our services can encompass active rehabilitation, conditioning, neuro, aquatic therapy and depending where you live we'll ensure you see clients in your area eg Maitland/ Cessnock / Newcastle / Lake Macquarie.

How We Make an Impact

Recovery Station provides community and clinic based allied health services, with a strong focus on disability and senior health. For 20 years we have grown and now proudly offer services in the community across Sydney, the Hunter, Central Coast, Tamworth and nationally via telepractice.

Together, our passionate multidisciplinary team of Speech Pathologists, OTs, Mental Health OT’s, Psychologists, BSP's, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians and Allied Health Assistants collaboratively share their knowledge and experience to holistically design an individualised service to help improve the quality of life for people living with a disability or looking to age as independently as possible.

How Our Grad Program Will Empower Your Future

We believe that when you choose us for your Graduate role, you are entrusting us with teaching you the core skills that will form the foundation for an amazing career to come. With this in mind, we've set out a structured, comprehensive 12-month plan:

You will start with a classroom style orientation so you can meet your team, play around with your new laptop and our online database and do some pre-reading and training modules before seeing clients

We then take you out to ride along with your supervisor so you can observe and ask questions (we can do a day of this in your interview process if you haven't had a community placement but want to know if you'll like it)

Your supervisor will then begin shadowing your sessions, letting you take the reins and providing updates so that you'll feel confident when you begin seeing clients independently

Throughout your Graduate Program you will receive different forms of daily and weekly supervision and supportdepending on your learning style

Attend multi-disciplinary meetings and enjoy opportunities for collaboration as you share clients with other disciplines

Once you've settled in, if you find you're particularly passionate about a certain area we have pathways to clinical specialisation such as neuro, hydrotherapy, women's health and more.

You've worked hard to get to this point so we need have some fun at work too:

To bring us together as a team, we have a fun wellbeing program that involves monthly social events. Previously we've gone to mini golf, ten pin bowling, wheelchair basketball + rugby, made dumplings, candles and gingerbread houses, paint & sip, brought in a professional masseuse and celebrated important dates such as International Women's Day, mental health month and many others

We will celebrate the milestones in your Grad program with a Graduate celebration at your 12-month mark
