Job summary

Choice Community Health is hiring a Graduate Occupational Therapist to support NDIS participants in homes, community settings and clinical spaces. You will conduct assessments, develop independence strategies and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a recognised OT qualification, current AHPRA or eligibility, strong communication, and a willingness to learn within a supportive, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Current AHPRA registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Genuine interest in supporting people with disability.
• Good organisational, clinical reasoning and report writing skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Current driver’s licence and access to an insured vehicle.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional capacity assessments and prepare NDIS reports appropriate to your experience and clinical competence.
• Support participants to develop daily living skills, including personal care, household activities, routines and community participation.
• Assess and recommend appropriate low-cost assistive technology and basic equipment.
• Develop practical, person-centred strategies that align with participant goals.
• Collaborate with families, support workers, coordinators and other allied health professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, progress notes and assessment reports.
• Support participants to build confidence, develop skills and achieve meaningful outcomes.
