Pakenham Secondary College in Melbourne's south-east is seeking graduates to join our teaching team. The role focuses on developing classroom practice with support from experienced teachers, delivering measured programs, and fostering student engagement across year levels.

Entrants will work under guided direction, participate in induction and professional learning, and contribute to school priorities while building a professional portfolio and relationships with students, families and staff.

Formación

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to implement high impact teaching strategies and evaluate impact on student growth.
• Ability to monitor learning and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to collaborate with students, parents and the community.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study.
• Teach an area of the curriculum to a year level.
• Monitor, evaluate and report student progress in key learning areas.
• Implement strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes.
• Maintain records of class attendance and student progress.
• Implement effective student management in line with the school charter.
• Work with a mentor on professional development planning and reflection.
• May participate in policy development, project teams and co-curricular activities.
