Job summary

City of Gold Coast is offering a full-time, fixed-term Graduate Academy position based on a 12-month program beginning February 2027. Located on the Gold Coast, the role focuses on Library Operations and related capabilities, with rotations across several teams to develop broad public service experience.

What's on offer

Based within a library branch, you will gain hands-on experience in frontline service delivery while contributing to projects across workforce planning, rostering, customer experience, asset management, community activations, events, arts programming and business improvement. Through rotations and project work across Library Operations, Customer Resolution, Workforce Planning and Arts, you will see how services are planned, delivered and improved for our community.

You will contribute to operational and strategic projects through research, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, reporting and project coordination, while gaining insight into governance, decision-making and organisational leadership.

Working in a collaborative and supportive environment, you will develop practical skills in customer service, workforce planning, project management, strategic thinking and problem-solving, providing a strong foundation for future career opportunities across operations, customer experience, community services, business improvement and service delivery.

Who can apply?

To be considered for this opportunity you must hold a recognised bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification from a tertiary institution, completed within the last two years or be completing prior to the commencement of the program in February 2027. Applicants must have full working rights in Australia for the duration of the program and be able to work full-time.

The Library Operations Graduate position is recommended for but not limited to graduates who have studied Bachelor of Business (Management or Marketing); and related fields.
