Job summary

City of Gold Coast is offering a full-time, 12-month Graduate Academy designed to unlock potential and equip graduates with hands-on experience in property management and related disciplines. Starting February 2027, the program connects you with industry leaders and a tailored development path within a large local government environment.

You will gain exposure to commercial leasing, transactions, asset development, and governance, while building a network through ongoing mentorship and cohort

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification completed within the last two years or be completing prior to February 2027.
• Applicants must have full working rights in Australia for the duration of the program.
• Bachelor of Property Economics, Property, Property Development, Urban Development, Business/Commerce (Property), Project Management, Facilities Management; and related fields.

Responsibilities

• Support management of the City’s property portfolio, including leasing, transactions and asset development.
• Gain exposure to valuations, acquisitions and land development within a local government context.
• Participate in governance and project delivery across property disciplines.
• Collaborate with industry leaders and mentors to build practical skills.

Working alongside experienced property professionals, you will gain exposure to commercial leasing, property transactions, asset divestment, land tenure, facilities management, development projects and strategic property initiatives. You will support projects that help shape the City’s future while developing practical skills in property management, stakeholder engagement, governance and project delivery. This role provides exposure to a broad range of property disciplines and offers a unique opportunity to build practical knowledge in valuations, acquisitions, property management and land development within a large local government environment.

Who can apply?

To be considered for this opportunity you must hold a recognised bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification from a tertiary institution, completed within the last two years or be completing prior to the commencement of the program in February 2027. Applicants must have full working rights in Australia for the duration of the program and be able to work full-time.
