Blacktown City Council is offering a Graduate Finance position commencing mid-February 2027, based in Blacktown, NSW. You will rotate across finance functions, support budgeting, reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis, and contribute to sound financial decision‑making.

The role is a full-time term contract for up to 2 years, with an entry level salary of 1,750.90 AUD per week, access to flextime, 12% superannuation and ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field by start date or within last 2 years.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a large local government organisation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with budgeting, reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis.
• Maintain financial records and investigate transactions.
• Prepare reports and financial summaries; support process improvements.
