Job summary

Geotesta invites applications for a Graduate Environmental Consultant/Scientist in Sydney. You will join an experienced team, receive structured training, mentoring, and exposure to contaminated land and environmental assessment projects from day one.

You will work on field sampling, site inspections, data analysis, and reporting while developing practical skills and client-facing experience in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Earth Science, Geology, or related discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Positive attitude and hands-on fieldwork approach.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Previous environmental consulting or fieldwork experience is desirable.
• Understanding of contaminated land assessment processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with environmental and contaminated land investigations
• Conduct soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling programs
• Undertake site inspections and environmental monitoring
• Perform soil logging and field observations
• Assist with waste classification assessments in accordance with EPA guidelines
• Analyse laboratory and field data
• Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation
• Support remediation and environmental management projects
• Work closely with senior consultants and project managers to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients
• Contribute to multidisciplinary projects involving geotechnical and environmental teams
