Job summary

Raytheon Australia is seeking graduates for a Product Support Engineer role that sits at the intersection of engineering, technology, and people. This program offers exposure to the full lifecycle of complex systems, from understanding user requirements through sustainment and continuous improvement.

During a 3-year program you will be mentored by Product Support Engineers and engineering leaders, gaining experience from system design to reliability, safety, and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Recently completed or about to complete an Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Aerospace or related field.
• Eligibility to obtain Baseline Security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Work across the full lifecycle of complex systems from concept to sustainment.
• Understand user requirements and translate them into practical support solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, military operators, technicians and customers across multiple programs.
• Travel within Australia to attend integration, test and evaluation events.

As a Product Support Engineer you'll work at the intersection of engineering, technology, and people. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the full lifecycle of complex systems, from understanding user requirements through to sustainment and continuous improvement.

At Raytheon Australia we're looking for Graduate or Early Career Engineers who are curious, analytical, and eager to learn through applying their mechanical, electrical or aerospace engineering knowledge whilst also developing a specialist career in Product Support Engineering. This lesser-known engineering discipline is highly sought after across Defence and Commercial industry, so whether your interests lie in advanced technology, data analysis, engineering design, logistics, asset management or reliability, this role will help you discover where your strengths and passions lie.

Reporting to both the Integrated Product Support Manager and an Engineering Manager of your field of study, you will receive training in both disciplines

• You will have the opportunity to provide support to multiple engineering programs within Raytheon Australia across Air, Sea and Land domains
• Interact with a broad range of stakeholders, including engineers, military operators, technicians, maintainers, and customers (Submariners, Sailors, Pilots, Electronic Warfare Operators) who contribute to the design, development, operation and support of these systems.
• Within Product Support you will learn how engineering decisions impact the whole system lifecycle, contributing to the development of reliable and maintainable systems, analyse user needs to develop practical support solutions for complex systems, and you will use data analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Opportunity to travel within Australia to attend integration, test and evaluation events of complex systems
