Bentrol Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking Graduate Electrical Engineers to join our switchboard and switch room manufacturing team. These full-time roles will be based in Melbourne (Thomastown) and offer hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of LV switchboard engineering.

Ideal candidates are final-year students or graduates with up to two years of relevant experience, with basic AutoCAD skills and an interest in PLC/SCADA or automation systems.

Qualifikationen

• You may have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) or be in the final year of completing one.
• We will also consider candidates with a Bachelor of Engineering (Advanced Manufacturing and Mechatronics) or a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering).
• Up to 2 years relevant engineering experience (including internships, placement work, or graduate roles).
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD platforms.
• A foundational understanding of LV electrical theory.
• An interest in PLC, SCADA, or automation systems (well regarded).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Aufgaben

• Assisting with the development of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for LV switchboards.
• Preparing 2D general arrangement drawings in AutoCAD.
• Supporting compliance activities and applying Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 61439).
• Contributing to component selection and layout design under guidance of experienced engineers.
• Producing accurate engineering documentation that supports estimating, manufacturing, and project delivery.
• Participating in testing, verification, and quality assurance activities.
• Collaborating with project managers, production teams, and other engineers to deliver reliable, fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Engaging in feedback, coaching, and continuous improvement as part of your development.
