Job summary

Oceaneering in Jandakot, WA, is seeking a driven Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in a permanent full-time role based in our Jandakot Office.

You will create conceptual designs, perform calculations, prepare design packages, support testing onshore or offshore, and collaborate with project managers and technicians to deliver safe, robust subsea equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar 3D CAD packages.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Uncompromising attitude toward safety.
• Minimum 1-3 years' relevant engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Creating conceptual designs.

• Ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Ability to work under general direction.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure onshore/offshore environment.
• Studies or project work with ROV and/or Subsea equipment design and engineering.
• Hands on mechanical experience such as building or repairing large or small engines or machines.
