Job summary

AME Systems is seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join the Engineering Team in Ararat, Victoria. You will gain hands-on experience, mentoring from industry experts, and a clear pathway for career growth as you contribute to electrical and wiring harness projects.

You'll work closely with experienced engineers, customers, and suppliers to deliver practical, high-quality engineering solutions and participate in cost estimates, timelines, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and mechanical applications.
• Experience using E-CAD and/or 2D and/or 3D MCAD software.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Current Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and development of electrical and wiring harness systems.
• Create drawings, diagrams, and engineering documentation.
• Participate in troubleshooting and product improvements.
• Work with customers to understand requirements and develop effective solutions.
• Support project planning, cost estimates, and timelines.
• Research and evaluate new components and technologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation projects.
• Build technical knowledge in wiring harnesses and Industry 4 & 5.
