Job summary

IBM Consulting is hiring an Associate Application Developer for its globally focused program in Ballarat, Australia. You will work with clients to translate requirements into design and development of customized systems, across full-stack architectures, with a focus on generative AI projects.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage Springboot, SQL and NoSQL databases, and apply design thinking to deliver scalable, high-quality software while growing professionally within IBM's

Qualifications

• Be an Australian citizen.
• Proficient in one of: Java, C++, Python, Scala, R, SAS, SQL, Hadoop, HTML, SPSS, VBA, Tableau, Spark, Angular or ReactJS.
• Exposure to web services and Java frameworks such as Springboot.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Familiarity with generative AI modeling, ethics, and methodologies.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, infrastructure concepts and cloud platforms AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, and Google Cloud.
• Degree in IT or Computer Science, or Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications for generative AI projects.
• Design, develop, and support scalable products and interfaces for clients.
• Build both frontend and backend components across architecture layers.
• Create UI components, algorithms and data structures for viable products.
• Utilize IBM's tools and standards to ensure performance, security, quality, and stability.
