Job summary

The City of Greater Geraldton is seeking a Graduate Engineering Officer to provide engineering support across the Infrastructure Services department, focusing on investigations, roads compliance with MRWA guidelines, asset management, and capital works. The role also involves civil design, drafting and estimating, and sustainability initiatives.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering or Design degree (or are progressing towards one) with 12D/AutoCAD experience and cost estimating.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Design, or progressing towards degree.
• Experience with 12D and AutoCAD, including project cost estimating, is advantageous.
• Completion of pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering support to the Infrastructure Services department.
• Assist in assessing town planning, building applications and road use, drafting comments and conditions.
• Process development engineering applications, including crossover installations and compliance matters.
• Undertake site inspections and engineering investigations and prepare reports and recommendations.
