Job summary

Liebherr-Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant support role to assist the Financial Accounting Team in delivering accurate financial information across the business. The role focuses on fixed asset accounting, reconciliations and audit support in a dynamic Australian operation based in Adelaide.

Ideal candidates will hold an accounting-related degree, be in or near CPA/CA qualification, and demonstrate strong Excel and stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business (Accounting major) or final year of study.
• Eligibility to commence or complete a CPA or CA qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Job description

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Financial Accounting Team through the delivery of accurate and timely financial information across Liebherr-Australia.

Responsibilities

• Managing fixed asset accounting, including capitalisations, transfers, disposals and depreciation
• Maintaining accurate data within the Fixed Asset Management system
• Reconciling fixed asset records to the general ledger
• Assisting with bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting supplier master data maintenance and verification
• Assisting with internal and external audit requirements
• Supporting year-end financial and sustainability reporting activities
• Working collaboratively with finance teams and stakeholders across the business
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance function

Skills & Experience

• A degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business (Accounting major), or be in your final year of study
• Eligibility to commence or complete a CPA or CA qualification
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
