Job summary

MACA Infrastructure is seeking a Grader Operator based in Mt Evelyn to support maintenance grading across the Yarra Ranges. The role focuses on safe and timely operation of the machine you are assessed as competent to use, with a strong emphasis on workplace safety and efficiency.

Key requirements include at least 5 years’ experience on unsealed council roads, a HR license, and a current Traffic Control ticket.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Komatsu Graders and freeroll Roller.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience completing maintenance grading on unsealed council roads.
• HR license.
• Current Traffic Control ticket essential.
• Familiarity with or local to the Yarra Ranges Shire.
• Commitment to safety in the workplace.
• Construction white card.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-start checks to ensure the machine is safe to operate.
• Operate plant in an efficient and effective manner in order to achieve the shift production targets.
• Report any faults and defects of plant immediately to the Supervisor.
• Report all hazards, incidents, near misses and accidents immediately to the Supervisor.
• Carry out any other tasks as directed by the Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Actively participate and contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of MACA work practices.
