Job summary

Evolution Mining's Ernest Henry Operations is seeking a Grader Operator to support safe, efficient underground mining. You will be part of a production team maintaining underground roads and declines to the high standards required for productive operations, with responsibilities across roadways, drainage and working areas.

Operate graders (e.g., Caterpillar 140M) to keep underground roads clear; perform pre-start inspections, dust suppression, and basic equipment maintenance; identify defects

Qualifications

• Current Manual Driver's Licence.
• RII competency in Grader Operations.
• Experience operating Caterpillar 140M or similar equipment.
• Experience maintaining haul roads, leveling road bases and drainage.
• Underground grading experience, ideally in decline operations.
• Strong communication, hazard awareness and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate graders to maintain underground roads, declines, drainage and work areas.
• Carry out dust suppression activities and other roadway maintenance tasks.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and basic equipment maintenance.
• Identify and report equipment defects, hazards and operational risks.
• Support production activities including clean-up, loading and hauling tasks.
• Provide relief coverage across operational roles where trained and competent.

What's the opportunity?

As a Grader Operator, you'll play a key role in supporting safe and efficient underground mining operations at Ernest Henry.

Working as part of our Production team, you'll be responsible for maintaining underground roadways, declines and working areas to the high standards required for a productive underground operation. Beyond grading, you'll contribute across a variety of underground production activities, providing flexibility and support where it's needed most.

This is an opportunity to join a close-knit underground team, operate modern equipment and play a hands-on role in keeping the operation running safely and efficiently. In this role, you'll:

Ideally, you'll also bring:

• Current Manual Driver's Licence
• RII competency in Grader Operations
• Experience operating Caterpillar 140M graders or similar equipment
• Experience maintaining haul roads, levelling road bases and managing drainage
• Previous underground grading experience, ideally within decline operations
• Strong communication skills, hazard awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
