Job summary

Logical is building Australia’s leading GPU infrastructure in Melbourne and seeks an Infrastructure Engineer to join the foundational team. You’ll work hands-on with GPU compute nodes, storage, and network hardware in a live data centre environment.

In this role you’ll rack, deploy and maintain hardware across NVIDIA GPU clusters, drive automation, and collaborate with AI Ops to scale operations toward 24/7 support. Melbourne-based hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on enterprise server experience in data centres or hyperscale environments.
• Solid Linux administration skills and familiarity with IPMI/iDRAC/iLO.
• Strong storage (NVMe, SAN, NAS) and compute networking knowledge.
• Experience with firmware management, diagnostics and vendor RMAs.
• Exposure to network/fabric deployment and GPU/HPC contexts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Rack, cable and maintain GPU servers, compute nodes and storage in a Melbourne data centre facility.
• Support environment build-outs, high-density cabling and large NVIDIA GPU clusters.
• Handle hardware troubleshooting, firmware upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Deploy and maintain network/fabric hardware and fibre diagnostics.
• Collaborate with Network and AI Ops teams to bring nodes into production.
• Provide Level 2 support and help move to 24/7 operations with runbooks and on-call processes.
• Manage hardware incidents and RMAs with vendors.
• Grow automation skills via infrastructure-as-code as the team scales.
