Job summary

FAAA in Melbourne CBD is seeking an Associate Adviser to support the delivery of holistic financial advice and to gain exposure to investment strategies and client relationships.

You will work with experienced advisers and accounting professionals, helping with SOAs/ROAs, strategy discussions and follow-up actions while developing your technical knowledge to progress toward becoming a Financial Adviser.

Qualifications

• Experience guiding clients through the financial planning process.
• Exposure to SOAs, ROAs and advice documentation.
• Experience with investment strategies and portfolio reviews.
• Knowledge of financial planning software such as Xplan is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of holistic financial advice across superannuation, investments and retirement planning.
• Assist with preparing Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs).
• Attend client meetings, participate in strategy discussions and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Conduct research and analysis to support financial planning recommendations.
• Assist with portfolio reviews and investment strategy development.
• Collaborate with Financial Advisers, accountants and referral partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Manage client enquiries and maintain high service standards throughout the advice process.

About the Role

Working closely with experienced Financial Advisers and accounting professionals, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of tailored financial advice.

• Supporting the development and delivery of holistic financial advice across superannuation, investments, retirement planning, insurance and wealth creation.
• Assisting with the preparation of Statements of Advice (SOAs), Records of Advice (ROAs) and supporting advice documentation.
• Attending client meetings, assisting with strategy discussions and coordinating follow-up actions.
• Conducting research and analysis to support financial planning recommendations.
• Assisting with portfolio reviews, investment strategies and advice implementation.
• Working collaboratively with Financial Advisers, accountants and other professional referral partners.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Managing client enquiries and ensuring a high standard of service throughout the advice process.
• Developing your technical knowledge and client-facing capabilities as you progress towards becoming a Financial Adviser.

About You

We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about financial planning, enjoys working with clients and is motivated to continue developing their career!!Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in an Associate Adviser, Client Services, Paraplanning or financial planning support role.
• A sound understanding of the financial advice process.
• Exposure to SOAs, ROAs, advice implementation or financial strategy development.
• Relevant financial planning qualifications or progress towards meeting Adviser education requirements.
• Experience using Xplan or similar financial planning software would be advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with clients.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to take on greater responsibility.
• A genuine interest in progressing towards becoming a Financial Adviser.
