JDM Earthworks in Melbourne is seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join our team on a casual basis. You will operate GPS-guided excavators on diverse earthmoving projects, delivering precise grading and excavation to high standards.

You will perform pre-operation checks, read plans, and coordinate with site supervisors and surveyors while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. The role offers flexible casual hours and opportunities to work with advanced GPS technology across

Qualifications

• Current Heavy Equipment Operator certification recognised in Victoria.
• Experience operating GPS-guided or machine control excavators on construction projects.
• Understanding of GPS, grading systems, and machine guidance software.
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel between Melbourne sites.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with WorkSafe regulations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, and GPS data.
• Physical fitness for varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility for casual work arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Operate GPS-enabled excavators to achieve precise grading and excavation.
