Job summary

NRMA Marine is seeking casual General Purpose Hands to work across a 7-day roster, assisting with vessel operations and delivering passenger service on board. You will be the face of the company, helping passengers, performing GPH duties and keeping cabins and decks clean.

Required NSW RSA license, AMSA General Purpose Hand Certificate of Competency, First Aid, and NSW Working with Children’s Check. NRMA benefits include travel discounts, free NRMA membership, insurance discounts, and a referral

Qualifications

• Face-to-face customer service experience in maritime or hospitality environments.
• Ability to follow Master’s directions and maintain safety procedures.
• Proactive in assisting passengers and crew with a calm, helpful demeanour.
• Certification requirements are mandatory for role eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the Master to maintain a safe and compliant marine operation.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Safe deck line and boarding hardware handling.
• Cleaning of passenger cabin and deck areas in a safe and efficient manner.
• Watch keeping duties as instructed by the Master.
• Safety and satisfaction of passengers on board.
• Delivery of on-board kiosk beverage sales compliant with RSA guidelines.

What you’ll do

We are currently looking for casual General Purpose Hands (GPH), working across a 7 day per week roster, where you will be responsible for a high level of interaction with maritime customers.

As the face of the company, this opportunity will be responsible for assisting with vessel operations while providing a customer service to the passengers on board. This is a hands-on position, assisting passengers, fulfilling GPH and cleaning duties.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Work under the direction of the Master to maintain a safe and compliant marine operation.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
• Safe deck line and boarding hardware handling
• Cleaning of passenger cabin and deck areas in a safe and efficient manner
• Watch keeping duties as instructed by the Master

• Delivery of on-board kiosk beverage sales compliant with Responsible Service of Alcohol guidelines.
