ASC Pty Ltd, Australia\'s submarine company, is seeking a permanent Governance Technical Writer to shape documentation supporting submarine programs. You will transform complex governance and technical requirements into clear, structured documentation.

Working with engineers and subject matter experts, you\'ll develop policies, standards, procedures, work instructions and guidance material that support critical operations, ensuring clarity and consistency across documents.

Qualifications

• You have worked as a Technical Writer, Documentation Specialist, Quality Advisor, Process Writer or similar role.
• Experience developing technical, process, standards or governance documentation.
• Strong Microsoft 365 skills.
• The ability to simplify complex information into clear, practical and user-friendly documentation.
• Experience within engineering, defence, maritime, resources, infrastructure, heavy industries or other highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.

ASC is Australia’s submarine company. About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a permanent Governance Technical Writer to help shape the documentation that supports Australia's submarine programs.

As ASC evolves to support multiple submarine programs, we need a skilled technical writer who can transform complex technical, governance and business requirements into clear, structured and practical documentation.

This is not a marketing, communications or copywriting role.

Working closely with engineers, technical specialists and subject matter experts, you will develop and maintain policies, standards, procedures, work instructions and guidance material that support critical business operations.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on your ability to obtain and maintain such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
