Job summary

Golden Plains Shire Council in Bannockburn, VIC, is seeking a Coordinator Governance & Risk to support the Director Corporate Services with governance, risk and compliance across the organisation.

The role leads the governance and risk function, advises the CEO and Council on legislative reform and integrity matters, coordinates the Audit & Risk Committee, and oversees council meetings and the enterprise risk framework.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications related to Governance, Law or Business Management are essential.
• Proven understanding of governance, risk, and compliance concepts.
• Ability to provide strategic advice and prepare formal recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Governance & Risk function across the organisation.
• Provide expert advice to CEO, ELT and Council on governance and legislative compliance.
• Coordinate and support the Audit & Risk Committee and secretariat tasks.
• Oversee Council Meetings and Briefings in line with governance rules.
• Implement and manage the Enterprise Risk Framework and risk registers.
