Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd, based in Canberra, is seeking a Governance Support Officer to help coordinate governance and program management activities across a complex Australian Government capability environment. The role involves supporting forums, maintaining registers, and aligning executive priorities within an agile team.

Location: Canberra, ACT. Contract duration: 12 months with potential 12-month extensions; NV1 clearance required. Closing date: 15 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience with government capability governance frameworks, policies and program management practices.
• Strong organisational skills across correspondence, records, action tracking and program documentation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build productive internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate governance frameworks, processes, artefacts and reporting requirements.
• Support governance forums, working groups and meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes and reports.
• Maintain action, decision and risk registers, program records and supporting governance tools.
• Coordinate executive priorities, correspondence, program communications and stakeholder activities.
