Oatlands Golf Club in Sydney's north-west is seeking a friendly Golf Shop Assistant to join our Golf Operations team. The role blends retail sales, customer service and golf administration within a well-established private club.

Approximately 20+ hours per week, with a seven-day roster including some weekends and early shifts. You will work closely with our Head Professional to deliver a welcoming, professional experience for members and guests.

• Previous experience in retail sales, customer service or a similar role.
• Interest in golf and basic understanding of the game is helpful.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Providing friendly, professional service to members, guests and visitors.
• Assisting with Golf Shop retail sales, merchandising and stock management.
• Processing sales and payments through the point-of-sale system.
• Managing tee time bookings, telephone enquiries and general member requests.
• Assisting with the administration of Club competitions, including registrations, scorecards and results.
• Supporting the coordination of golf events, corporate days and member activities.
• Assisting with golf cart bookings and general golf operations.
• Maintaining a clean, organized and well-presented Golf Shop.
• Providing general administrative support to the Head Professional and Golf Operations team.

Oatlands Golf Club is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Golf Shop Assistant to join our Golf Operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in golf, previous retail or customer service experience, and strong organizational skills to work within a well-established private golf club.

Working closely with our Head Professional, and the wider Golf Operations team, you will help deliver a welcoming and professional experience for our members and guests while assisting with the day-to-day operation of the Golf Shop.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position combining retail sales, customer service and general golf administration. We anticipate approximately 20 or more hours per week, with flexibility to work across a seven-day roster, including some weekends and early morning shifts.

• Providing friendly, professional service to members, guests and visitors.
• Assisting with Golf Shop retail sales, merchandising and stock management.
• Processing sales and payments through the point-of-sale system.

• Assisting with the administration of Club competitions, including registrations, scorecards and results.

About You

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and has a genuine interest in the game of golf.

Ideally, you will have

• Previous experience in retail sales, customer service or a similar role.
• An interest in golf and a basic understanding of the game.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good computer literacy and confidence undertaking administrative tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Reliability, initiative and the ability to work independently when required.
• Flexibility to work some weekends and public holidays.
• Previous experience working in a golf shop or golf club environment, including familiarity with MiClub, golf booking systems or retail point-of-sale software, would be highly regarded but is not essential.
